Theresa R. Eaman

Reading, Pennsylvania native, Theresa Eaman has been performing since her early teens. Although classically trained throughout her early life, Theresa has since branched off to specialize in jazz and standards of the ‘30’s through today.  Her love of this type of music started early in life, when she would “borrow” her mother’s LP’s and listen to all of the great singers. Friends found her musical taste eclectic, at best; but a lifetime of immersion in the musical styles of great singers, such as Barbra Streisand, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Keeley Smith (just to name a few) has enabled Theresa to present the music with many of the stylings of the original performances, while still adding her own personal touches.  She celebrates the era by performing the music that people laughed to, cried to and fell in love with during the Second World War and the years that followed with obvious passion and delight.

Miss Eaman has performed in New York City, San Diego, Reading & Harrisburgh, PA, as well as all over Idaho, where she currently resides. Theresa performs regularly at many venues in Idaho Falls, as well as appearing at various events across the state. She has appeared yearly at the Eastern Idaho State Fair on the free stage since 1995, singing for thousands of attendees every year. She is the featured vocalist at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum’s World War II Weekend in Reading, PA every year, entertaining 30,000 attendees over the course of three days each June. She was also a featured vocalist at BYU-Idaho Center Stage Performing Arts Series (Rexburg, ID) in the summer of 2004. Arizona “sunbirds” who migrate to Rexburg each summer, find Theresa’s music and voice to be a perfect accompaniment to summer vacation.

Currently, Theresa is performing monthly at the Cellar, Idaho Falls premier dining establishment.  BJ’s Bayou, in Roberts, Idaho has included Theresa in their roster of respectible entertainment and she appears yearly on Valentines Day to entertain lovers from all over the valley!

In addition to her solo career, Theresa is the featured vocalist for the Jazz House Big Band, based in Idaho Falls. She also sits in with various jazz musicians when she is in Idaho & Pennsylvania; often with no previous rehearsal! However, Theresa’s musical talent & powerhouse voice make all her shows exciting and entertaining.
